BATON ROUGE, La. - Redshirt freshman running back Rondell Mealey became a nice surprise during an LSU scrimmage this week.
Mealey had missed more than a week of fall drills with chronic headaches, but looked Wednesday as if it hadn't missed a day. He rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the 74-play scrimmage at Tiger Stadium.
"He had a good day," said LSU coach Gerry DiNardo. "It was good for him to get out there. I think they've already checked with him and he's feeling fine."
