To the editor:
I would like to simply say that I, as a gay man, am showing my disgust with the ignorance shown by Staff Columnist Joe Braun. His attitudes seem to be stuck in Middle Ages and not in the '90s. I do not object though with his ability to publish his opinions, but I do question his constant obsession with the topic. We all know about those who most loudly denounce such things turn out to be those most lost in their closet.
It seems that any public affection by lesbigays would be completely out of the question according to him, and I must say that if he or anyone else does not like seeing two men or two women holding hands or kissing, then he/she needs to do nothing more than to turn his/her little head around and look elsewhere. If we must look at heterosexual displays of affection as being permissible than the same must be said for us.
